Artifacts

EXHIBIT: ELEMENT #2
Like photographs, artifacts carry individual and collective history and tell unique stories about the role culture plays in dictating the daily activities of the Hmong community.

Artifacts can be practical things that make life possible like farming tools, knives, traditional clothing, pieces of valuable silver or jewelry, weaponry, musical instruments or it can be non-traditional and less obvious like custom made toys, old royal lao government issued indentity cards, pilot helmets to an old wrist watch.

Artifacts should hold cultural and or historical value and provide insight to Hmong life from the past 40 years.
