There is nothing that narrates the story of history quite like photographs.
Hmongstory 40 will be collecting photographs that depict the struggles, endeavors, successes and journey of the Hmong people. Photos for this collection will be selected based on historical impact, symbolism in conveying cultural meaning specific in defining Hmong cultural life in each decade and values of family traditions and customs.
Beginning January 2014 through September 2014, through an outreach campaign, Hmongstory 40 will collect photographs from the community and private collections. After review by the photography committee, the selections for the themed photo exhibit will be organized and professionally framed for exhibition.
